The legendary athlete and Alabama native, Bo Jackson, is riding his bike across Alabama to raise money to aid families impacted by the deadly tornado events that took place exactly a year ago this week in Alabama. Bo will ride his bike on a several hundred mile route that traces the path of the tornado beginning April 24, and ending April 28th in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Bo is being supported by Lance Armstrong and several other friends. Please help Bo help these families by donating to this cause.

You may go to his web site here: www.bobikesbama.com to learn more and donate. You may also simply text the keyword: BOBIKES to 50555. This will add $10 to your cell bill and ALL of that $10 will go to a fund benefiting these families. If you are capable and willing to donate more, visit Bo's web site above and click the Donate button. On behalf of all of the volunteers that produce our cycling weekend events...Thank you!

A "Top 10 Event" for the State of Alabama
-as selected by the Alabama Department of Tourism & Travel
in 2006, 2010...and again in 2012!

Join 5,000 other race fans lining the race course for the Sunny King Criterium in historic downtown Anniston, Alabama. With the Talladega Superspeedway in our back yard, NASCAR is something we understand. A criterium is like NASCAR -- except it is powered by legs and lungs, not gasoline engines. Hundreds of pros and amateurs race bikes around the .6 mile closed course multiple times -- racing inches apart at speeds reaching 40 mph. And you're just inches from the racers as they zoom by on the course. The Red Diamond JumboTron located near the Finish Line ensures that you catch all the action on the course, providing slow motion replays -- which can be especially interesting when there's a pileup.

Your afternoon downtown will quickly turn to evening when the Pro Women and Pro Men take the course in back to back races under the streetlights of downtown. More than 12 restaurants are on site providing great food and snacks all day at the 8th Annual Red Diamond Restaurant Tour, selected a Top 10 Event in Alabama in 2012. So plan to eat lunch and dinner at the festival. The Scion KidZone offers more for your kids than they can handle -- art, climbing walls, jump stations, kids bike races and running races, a Talladega Superspeedway pace car, live critter shows, and much more. And you'll even see Luke Skywalker and his buddies, Darth Vader, Princess Leah and more Star Wars characters roaming around the festival. If you are a runner, jump in the YMCA 5K hosted early in the morning, and if you enjoy music don't miss the Hot Blast Music Cafe. If you are a recreational rider, plan to join us the morning after the festival at the 20th Annual Cheaha Challenge presented by Wells Fargo Advisors---A Gran Fondo! Bring the family and lots of energy and plan to make a weekend of it.
